U.S. Regulatory Spending  Spending by federal regulatory agencies continues to grow at a faster pace than other nondiscretionary spending, according to Upward Trend in Regulation Continues:  An Analysis of the U.S. Budget for Fiscal Years 2005 and 2006, this year's edition of the annual report on regulatory spending and staffing by the Weidenbaum Center's Melinda Warren and Mercatus Center's Susan Dudley.  This report analyzes projected spending and staffing for the 68 regulatory agencies as proposed in President Bush's 2006 Budget of the United States Government.     News Release       Full Report
